In other news, we saw "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "Eragon" this afternoon. PoH should be required watching for every person ever. And now I want to find out more about what happened afterwards. So. Very. Good.

Well. It was pretty. But if the characters had been any thinner, we could have seen through them. I hope the book is better.

snarking_boojum and I had our weekly get-together and talked writing for a couple of hours. I have new plot points! Yay!

I was going to rant about this week's episode of "House" again, but I"m not sure I have the energy. But the more I think about it, the more it pisses me off. *sigh* For the nurses on my flist, is a blood test accurate enough to tell how far along a pregnancy is?

YAY! for meeting with my Writing Buddy tonight. Of course, it's not like I have anything to give him to actually read, although I suppose I could make the DragonFic a chaptered story and give him the first bit I've got. *evil laughter* Actually, since I have no idea how long the silly thing is going to be, I suppose I can do just that--because if I was writing a novel, I wouldn't be giving him the whole thing all at once.

The cold continues apace. Feel better tonight than I did this morning, which is a good. Maybe one more good sleep, and I'll have this thing licked. *crosses fingers*

"House" made me cry tonight. Dude. Just...dude. I was all...with the thing... and the stuff... I'm just glad I wasn't ovulating because Da Boy would have had questions about why I was sobbing uncontrollably rather than quietly sniffling, which I'm doing anyway because of the damb cold.

Our lead stories on the 10:00 news these days have been about a meadow vole infestation in a little town just a few miles to my south. Yes. I live in a boring place. Which is a good thing, when you stop to think about it.

I found him via Google image search. He's apparently in their cache, because the site itself is unavailable. I ganked him, cleaned him up in PSP, and uploaded him to PhotoBucket. Isn't he adorable, for a disease-infested rodent-y thing? I mean, he's, like, this perfect sphere of vole-ness. I knew about them from when we lived in our old house; our cat used to leave them on the porch, the driveway, the lawn...Plus the zoo has them running wild as well, and once put arctic foxes in the gorilla enclosure during the winter when the gorillas were inside to do a little natural predation. I don't know if it worked, but it kept the foxes entertained.

I've written about a page today in my apocalyptothon fic. I've debated how I'm going to summarize my two_of_us_fic story, because ... well, it's tricky. *evil laughter* And I'm thinking about dropping out of the psych_30 thing because, frankly, I got nothin' and I'm thinking my energies would be better spent on the 7virtues7sins thing instead. Seeing as I haven't even signed up for writing in my own comm. *is a loser* I haven't even been thinking about my random_urges assignment yet.

I have nothing clever or fun to close this entry with...

ETA: Oh! And! I'm getting a new printer! For those uneasy about clicking links, it's an Epson Stylus CX7800 all-in-one, and I'm going to hug it and squeeze it and call it "George." We're going to go buy it tomorrow. Maybe now I can do the writercon icon pins justice. *crosses fingers* There's a way to do layouts and print stuff in PSP, so I'm hopeful. Of course, I can't do it right this minute, because it requires a printer to be installed on the computer. So that'll be my project for tomorrow, between aerobics, walking, laundry, vacuuming, and three and a half hours of TV, and somewhere in there we'll go to Circuit City and get the printer. I should call the comic book store and see if they've got my comic there yet too.

Whee.

...edited the BeagleFic for pro-publication. I sent it off to my (published) Mom for perusal, and she hasn't gotten back to me with it yet, which of course makes me wonder if it sucks big green mossy rocks. *is insecure*
