Why is there no "evil" LJ mood?

I now have title-age and a summary for my two_of_us_fic story. Go, me. It will be posted a week from tomorrow.

My published word count for the month is going to be knocking on 15K, assuming I don't even write anything more until I finish the thing for random_urges. I've got a Jayne/Zoe thing to work on. I'd like to explore more Jayne/Illyria; wouldn't object to a sequel to AAAA.

I finished my two_of_us_fic assignment somewhere around the middle of last month. I yanked it out to look at it again today. The good thing is, I still like it. The bad thing is, I still have no title and no summary. I found the full lyric to the snippet of song I was assigned...and they make no sense. This one must have been written when the Beatles were doing drugs or something. *mumbles* So, no title from there. And I'm still struggling with coming up with a summary that doesn't give the whole thing away.

In other news, the Angel Spotlight comic coming out tomorrow focuses on Wes. Must. Have.

The cold continues apace. Feel better tonight than I did this morning, which is a good. Maybe one more good sleep, and I'll have this thing licked. *crosses fingers*

"House" made me cry tonight. Dude. Just...dude. I was all...with the thing... and the stuff... I'm just glad I wasn't ovulating because Da Boy would have had questions about why I was sobbing uncontrollably rather than quietly sniffling, which I'm doing anyway because of the damb cold.

Our lead stories on the 10:00 news these days have been about a meadow vole infestation in a little town just a few miles to my south. Yes. I live in a boring place. Which is a good thing, when you stop to think about it.

I found him via Google image search. He's apparently in their cache, because the site itself is unavailable. I ganked him, cleaned him up in PSP, and uploaded him to PhotoBucket. Isn't he adorable, for a disease-infested rodent-y thing? I mean, he's, like, this perfect sphere of vole-ness. I knew about them from when we lived in our old house; our cat used to leave them on the porch, the driveway, the lawn...Plus the zoo has them running wild as well, and once put arctic foxes in the gorilla enclosure during the winter when the gorillas were inside to do a little natural predation. I don't know if it worked, but it kept the foxes entertained.

I've written about a page today in my apocalyptothon fic. I've debated how I'm going to summarize my two_of_us_fic story, because ... well, it's tricky. *evil laughter* And I'm thinking about dropping out of the psych_30 thing because, frankly, I got nothin' and I'm thinking my energies would be better spent on the 7virtues7sins thing instead. Seeing as I haven't even signed up for writing in my own comm. *is a loser* I haven't even been thinking about my random_urges assignment yet.

I have nothing clever or fun to close this entry with...

I've finished the two_of_us_ficathon story. All it needs is a title. *evil laughter* Can't publish it until June, however, so you'll just have to wait. The Hubby was a total doll and helped tremendously with it. He's good that way, for Firefly stuff.

I got my assignment from the random_urges ficathon today. Okay, writing fic for one of my favorite authors, who probably doesn't even know I exist? Is intimidating. Have to admit I'm wibbling a bit here, although the pairing is something I can totally get behind. I hope I can do it justice.

However, the next thing I need to work on is my apocalypothon assignment, since it's due in three weeks. YIKES. IT'S DUE IN THREE WEEKS! (Hear that, Antubis? It's due in three weeks!) And I think what I'm going to do is use my Fred-on-Serenity fic as a jumping-off point for it, because otherwise, I got nothin'. This accomplishes the dual goal of writing something for this ficathon and finishing that story, which is a win-win, right?

We've lived in our current house for five years. In all that time, we've had no furniture in the front room. We spend most of our time in the family room anyway, so it hasn't really been an issue. However, we're finally getting furniture anyway, because it's the first thing people see when they come over and it's kind of weird, you know? We hit several furniture stores and picked out a leather sofa and loveseat set that are actually comfortable. We still need tables and wall art and a lamp or two, but progress of a sort is being made, so, yay.

Two anteaters ended on eBay last night. I couldn't afford them both, so I decided that I would bid on the second one. The first one ended with no further bidding action and went for less than I would have paid for it. And then I sniped the second one. And lost. *sniffles* [Soup Nazi Voice] No anteaters for you! Ah well. The local Firefly Meetup is Saturday, and it's in the vicinity of a bookstore I haven't been to in awhile, so perhaps I'll console myself with books. Or I might snag Fray and the new Harry Dresden at Buy.com. Or (this would be shocking) maybe I won't spend it at all. Maybe I'll hang onto it. There's a notion.

I've written over 500 words today in my two_of_us_ficathon entry. This...is going to take a deft hand to pull off. I'm not really sure I'm up to it, but trying new things is a good, right?

I have a hook for my two_of_us_ficathon story. And yes, it's a plot device that's been used since time immemorial, and most profic publishers won't even look at a story that uses it, but I don't care.

I still don't have anything for my looming apocalyptothon fic, alas, and it's due sooner than the Two Of Us story. Well, I've found that a deadline concentrates the mind wonderfully, so hopefully I'll have...something or other...by then.
