And now I want a bacon-wrapped Snickers bar. I hate my brain.

In other news, it is snowing like a right bastard and has been for over two hours. And I got (yet another) rejection today, so I shipped the thing off to the place that's going to publish me soon. Now, Sold Soul is very very different from Zombies!, but I hope the editor likes that one too. Enough to buy it.

Of course, I hope that every time.

Words? What are these "words" to which you refer?

We're going to see Wreck-It Ralph this afternoon. Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it, so.

HAH.

I haz an END at the bottom of the Zombies! story. And I don't loathe it. JOY.

Now I get to edit it into some semblance of sense-making.

I was going to post a picture of the massive snowstorm we woke up to this morning, but it looks like I'm going to have to reload PaintShopPro to get it to work properly. *sigh* I love computer crashes. Really.

And the Lost series finale rocked like a big rocking thing, other than a couple of issues I had with it. Spoilers go here. )

I hate winter.

It's six degrees outside right now.

Yes, you read that right. Six. Not sixteen, or twenty-six. Six. And, you know what? It's still early. It's going to get colder.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.

Current temperature: 63 degrees

Yeah. It's sixty-three degrees at noon in August.

I don't even know. The weather's been wonky all year. For winter, we usually get twenty days in a row of twenty-degree weather that sends us fleeing in surrender to Phoenix for a few days. Didn't happen this year.

And then we get, like, a week or two of spring before jumping right into ninety- and hundred-degree days. This year, we got a month of rain for June.

And now it's 63 degrees in August. Why are we going to Washington again? Because it sure ain't to get away from the heat like it usually is...

We've got a double rainbow right now.

We got the airplane back today and it's PRETTY. Pix soon.

I have now formatted the Cow Story for WotF. 47 pages ZOMG.

I found the screencaps I'm missing for KKBB (thank you to the lovely and effulgent [livejournal.com profile] quicksilvermad) and will be DL'ing them tomorrow. Because those are huge files which will require much time. And then we'll see if I can create a KKBB mood theme.

In not-so-nice news, yes, I'm sick. And I'm drawing a complete blank on where my 250 words for the day are going to come from. I'm not sure I'm going to get them. But since I've hit my goal for the week already, and I'm sick, I'm not going to sweat it. :p

And that means that it can stop snowing just any time now.

Fie. FIE, I say.

Wandering over to Yuletide and finding seventeen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang fics. Not only that, but most of them are awesome and in character and just lovely.

AND.

OMG. Best Christmas present ever, y'all, fic-wise, anyway: Suburban Decay -- ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE IN THE KKBB 'VERSE. MY CAPSLOCK IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THE SHEER AWESOMENESS OF THIS FIC AND YOU NEED TO GO READ IT RIGHT NOW.

In other news, we got at least a foot of snow last night. I was going to go grocery shopping today. Yeah, RIGHT. The plow hasn't even hit our little cul-de-sac yet. I can't shovel because of my back, and the Hubby isn't home.

This is...not good. I'm seriously thinking about making the Hubby get us a snowblower because this is the second year in a row it's snowed like this and not having one with a driveway the size of ours is frakking ridiculous.

After all was said and done, I got my 500 words done last night.

And I've pretty much realized that there's no turning back for not!Harry at this point. He's stuck the way he is, period. I might have been able to reverse the nanotech lycanthropy. Maybe, possibly, by introducing another nanotech thingy that would eat that extra strand of DNA the original tech graced him with. Maybe.

But when you add vampirism into the mix, and now the fact that he's been bitten by an actual werewolf?

Yeah, he's hosed, and he's just going to have to frakking adjust. Poor fellow.

And that means that my characters need a new goal. One which will be thrust upon them fairly soon, because, really, I do plan some of this stuff. Right now, I'm moving characters around and getting them into place for the next confrontation.

I was going to post a snippet, because it's been awhile, but...I don't really have one, not really, so unless there's a big hue and cry for one, you're going to have to wait. :p

And, no, I haven't voted yet. I will, of course, because it's what I do. I'm pretty sure everyone here knows how I'm going to vote (not that it matters because this is Utah and Obama would actually win here if he only had an R after his name, but I digress), although it might suprise some of you to know that I'm going to vote for a tax increase to support the zoo and the aviary because those are a couple of my pet places and I'd like them to be better than they are--and they actually use tax money responsibly. The schools can bite me, but the zoo and aviary are totally worth it.

Weather sucks. It snowed earlier. Ugh.

I've been saying for awhile now that there's going to be a heavy cost to a major character in this story.

Now I know what it is. I've even set it up, all unaware of what I was doing at the time.

Poor, poor, poor not!Harry. Honey, you should know better than to say "I'm going to ask her to marry me" in a story like this.

My brain is a strange and scary place.

In vidding news, I got my clips captured in a proper format last night before bed. Now that I know what I'm doing, it takes a lot less time--at least, to find the clips I want. Actually saving them in a format with actual data takes a little longer. So today I'm going to play with them in WMM and see if I can't turn this thing into something coherent.

It's been raining pretty non-stop since last night. We've had hail, twice. Whee?

Scale is back to being my bitch. 124.4 this morning. Going to be a salad day today--let's see if I can break below the magic 123.6 tomorrow...

The temperature just dropped 35 degrees in the last half hour.

Seriously, it was over 100 just a little while ago. Then a thunderstorm blew in, and it's now 69.

SHWEET.

Also, I'm going to quit banging my head on the not!Iron Man fic for now. I can't be objective about it anymore, so taking a break from it seems to be in my best interest. It's up over 16,600 words. Is it just me, or is my self-imposed ceiling getting closer to my head...?

However, the lovely and effulgent [livejournal.com profile] nancyfulda said something today that kicked something loose, and it sucks less than it did this morning. Yay.
