I haz an END at the bottom of the Zombies! story. And I don't loathe it. JOY.

Now I get to edit it into some semblance of sense-making.

I was going to post a picture of the massive snowstorm we woke up to this morning, but it looks like I'm going to have to reload PaintShopPro to get it to work properly. *sigh* I love computer crashes. Really.

And the Lost series finale rocked like a big rocking thing, other than a couple of issues I had with it. ( Spoilers go here. )

The Redbox is just about the Best Thing Ever and I'm totally sold on it. A buck a night for a video rental, and free for the first night if you grab a code? I have no idea how they're making their money (well, actually, I have a very good idea--from absent-minded and/or busy people who fail to bring the movie back after the first night), but this is AWESOME.

Why, yes, we're going to watch "Men Who Stare at Goats" tonight after Lost's Richard ep.

BTW, Lost? OMG RICHARD OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH.

My gmail inbox remains stubbornly empty. Alas and woe.

Last night's "Lost" rocked my socks. Give me more of that, baby. And I noticed that they'd named the physicist "Faraday," and I thought, Did they just go there? They totally went there! HEE. And bookishwench wrote a lovely little ficlet from Penny's POV, here. Go forth, and shower her with praise.

The Hubby red-penned the A&tS story for me while he was on his trip. I hope I can beat it into some semblance of, you know, not sucking.

I may have a bunny for a new story. *eyes WIPs* Because I shouldn't finish those, no, I should start something completely different. *headdesks*

The etouffee was...okay. Pretty good, but not special. I gained a half pound yesterday.

HOWEVER. I found a site that mirrors Joe's Crab Shack's recipe, and it's far different from the one I made yesterday and sounds way better. THEREFORE, when (notice my adroit avoidance of the word "if," there), I reach the magic weight of 130, I will try that recipe.

In writing news, as soon as I figured out my hook for the A&tS story...I stopped writing. ARGH. I got nothing written yesterday. At all. Partly because I realized I've got too many characters to wrestle with in an under-5,000-word story. So, I've excised my student group from five to three. I may drop it farther, to two.

I've got Wednesday Write with snarking_boojum this afternoon. He's got the CatFeet fic for me, and I've got the WerewolfFic for him. He says he figured out what's wrong with the CatFeet fic, which is great, because I don't have a clue, other than that there's SOMETHING wrong with it. I just hope it's an easy fix. *wibbles*

I don't know if anyone remembers me squeeing about the baby Dronkeys in "Shrek 2" last year, but The Evil Empire WalMart has some little plushies to go with the Shrek 1&2 DVDs. Just in case, you know, anyone wants one. *eyeshift* Not that I bought one yesterday, or anything. *cough* Also? They had "A Knight's Tale" Special Edition in the $5.50 bin.

You know what wins? Using one of kenrand's business cards as a bookmark for "The Golems of Laramie County." *nods*

I scored a Steelers Super Bowl Champions t-shirt today for FIVE BUCKS, on clearance. HAH.

Also, naominovik's Temeraire series rocks like a big rocking thing. I actually paid full price for the second one at B&N today because the Purple Cruiserberry went to the dealer for its 18K checkup and I needed something to read. This culture clash between the Chinese and the Brits is really interesting and the dragons are made of awesome.

Still having trouble finding my main character's "voice" in this. I think I'm just going to write the thing and then figure out exactly how he speaks and thinks. I've made some more progress on the plot. Go, me.
