Entry number two. I missed yesterday, so I will be doing two today. :-)

The first entry of the day, however, must go to Richard Bachman. He was really the first fanauthor I got hooked on, way back when. His version of "Normal Again" is heartbreaking and frightening and oh so real that it sucked me right in and wouldn't let me go. That being said, I don't think that English is his native language, and I don't think he has a beta...so allowances must be made for that. Plus he seems to have a lot of WIPs that never get finished. I'm willing to overlook all that, because, damn, the man can spin a yarn.

In other news, we made it back home all right, but my internet's been wonky today. Don't know if it's Boingo or my actual connection; the Hubby rebooted the router and it's better now, but Boingo seems to think it's waiting for a network address. I seem to be in, though, so I'm not sure I should be caring about a network address. Is that important?

Oh, and I found the flash for my camera. It had fallen out of the camera bag when I stuck it behind my table with the top all unattached. Argh. Oh well. Gives us an excuse to go back to Colorado, I guess.

Holy cow. Makes me wonder what her so-called husband has on the judge, to get him to make a ruling like this:

Terri Schiavo's parents back in court trying to save her life.

This is the part that blows me away:

Greer denied a motion filed Monday asking that the Schindlers be allowed to feed their daughter by mouth after artificial feedings stop.

Seriously, WTF? The judge has just basically given this woman, who has committed the heinous crime of being inconvenient to her abusive, adulterous husband, a death sentence. What in the world justifies something like this? They can't even try to feed her after they take out the damb tube? Why the hell not? More information here.

Oh, at least he's allowing them to bring in a priest to administer Last Rites to her. How big of him.

I think...I think, maybe, just maybe, my CYA ficathon fic is done. I'll have to poke it some more tomorrow, but it's essentially finished.

It's a post-NFA ensemble fic, missing Lorne, with Fred. Came out to about 3000 words. Anyone want to beta it for me? Angel is a real bugbear to write, I've found, and I'm not sure I didn't move to fast in it too...So, someone besides me poking it would be helpful.
