Post to your LJ each day at least one of your favorite fanfic authors and why you love them, their work, and why they need more appreciation.
Day One
Well, for Day One, the honor must go tojerib_78. She was my first friend in the fandom, she encouraged and helped me along the way (even when I told her I was writing Christian!Spike)--and her fic is brilliant. Seriously, go check out her homepage and start reading "Raison d'Etre" and you'll see exactly what I mean. She can make you laugh, cry, hurt, and be happy all at the same time. And she needs more appreciation because, while she writes long, involved plot monsters, she takes a long time between updates (because she wants to get it just right) and therefore does not get the recognition she deserves from the fandom.
Go. Read. Be awed.
