Arrant Nonsense

I hunted high and low for an image that I wanted to make a "sad" icon with, because sometimes I just don't have a suitable icon for whatever depressing thing has happened lately. And then I found an image that I actually already had hiding on my hard drive, and now I've got one. Go, me.



Because sometimes things happen and all we want to do is squish our stuffed lion.

Totally gankable if anyone wants the thing.

I've changed my default icon. Sorry, Robert, honey, but this one is way more apropos, considering what I'm writing right now.

Are there any movies where Robert is a writer? I must know, so I can get screencaps, and make icons, because it's what I do.

Two-day turnaround, not bad. I've flipped it already, so go, me? Also, they said they were looking forward to more subs from me, so that's something.

I've been thinking about subbing the "urge to bitchslap" one for my Schlock icon, but I hate to lose the Schlock icon and the keywords would make it so every post I've put the Schlock icon on would revert to my default. I could go to a Plus Account to get more icons, but ads are ugly and I don't want to inflict them on others who don't use the same shiny Adblock I do in Firefox. And I'm too cheap to buy a Paid Account. And I've always said "No ads, ever, here," but...extra icons! They're shiny!

Woe.

However, in other news, I thought of a couple more things to stick in the not!kkbb/im novelthing, a couple of nice character moments for not!Harry, and I'm on page 94/161 of the current editing pass, so...win?

I suck.

I've written all of 36 words today. I need to write 214 more. This shouldn't be a hardship, considering what I'm doing in this scene.

So, I'm struggling with it, a little. And instead of staring at the page and making little typing motions with my fingers...

If anyone finds my brain, could you return it, please? I miss it terribly.

My mouth is not sore this morning. Yay! Considering the fact that the other side was sore for a good ten days after they got done with the uber-cleaning, I'm surprised and pleased by this.

Yesterday, I scribbled over 500 words, amazingly enough. I finally figured out what this scene needed to do, and accomplished it.

And now to bring not!Harry back from the dead. In a manner of speaking. *evil laughter*

So far this week, I've managed about 2500 words. This is a fine and shiny thing. This doesn't, however, mean I can rest on my laurels, oh no. Because each day resets and I still have to do that 250 words. Today, that shouldn't be a problem.

Robert is, no doubt, disgruntled by the news that the release of "The Soloist" has been delayed until March. Boo! I know I'm not too happy about it. But at least we have a release date for "Sherlock Holmes": November 20, 2009. Yay!

Which was not available at the Evil Empire Walmart. Fortunately, Best Buy is right around the corner, so I wandered over there. Where I proceded to stare at the New Releases wall in dumbfounded amazement, because it wasn't there either.

Comedies? Er. No. So I hied me to the Dramas aisle, where some nice boys were stocking shelves. And one of them had it in his hand. And now iz mine mine all mine.

I also have "Heart and Souls," "Lucky You" and "Only You" from the library. This is...an embarrassment of riches.

I've also hit my word count goal for the day, and will probably get farther once I figure out how to end this damn scene.

Is it just me, or does RDJ just blatantly steal every single scene he's in ever?

Yeah, probably just me.

GUH. Gun and cigarette and glasses and arm and beard. Anyone who says that smoking's not sexy has never seen that man with a cigarette in his mouth. *fans self* Okay, the crappy shooting wasn't sexy, but it was funny. Points for not making him an expert the second he picked the gun up. Also, his hand is shaking, which is a nice touch, I liked that. Because didn't these dumbasses maybe think, once, that they might be painting a big ol' target on themselves? Hello?
