Okay, so, the best show on TV is in danger of being cancelled. Seriously, you guys, if I had to pick one show to watch and abandon the other eleven (yes, I'm a TV whore, it's gotten bad), it would be Chuck. It's funny, it's poignant, it's got geekery galore, and Adam Baldwin is never a bad.

Tonight is the season finale.

And it might be the series finale.

Is there a campaign to keep the show on the air? you ask. What can I do?

Obviously, these are going to be heavy on the John Casey icons, because Adam Baldwin is made of win in many many ways, not least because he's an outspoken conservative in an actively hostile environment, and also his favorite charity is the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. How cool is that?

In other news, I've done four loads of wash, had four and a half hours of school with Da Boy today, run to the library to straighten out the fact that, yes, I did too bring that video back (it was on the shelf, yay), made a useless run to the post office to pick up the mail (useless because I didn't check my mailbox, and they apparently delivered it today rather than holding it as I requested grr), and gone to the store for more diet cola with lime...stuff.

And I found a six-foot bookcase at Ikea for $20. A couple of those would solve my overflowing book problem in the basement...and the Hubby said I could (probably) use house money for them.

I've also done a half hour on the bike...and I have a half hour MORE to do. Which, bah. But at least I have a good book to read while I do it.

Was wonderful. How cool is it that I now get to look forward to Monday nights for something other than Monday Night Football?

I found out today that I'll at least know one person at WorldCon, assuming I get to go. Since it's practically in our backyard, I'm assuming that most of the local SF/F writers I know are also going to be there, and hopefully I won't be lost in a vast sea of unfamiliar faces and intimidating editors. Of course, all the local SF/F writers I know are male, which does not help me with the roomie sitch, but I'm sure I'll be able to work...something out. Probably a little early to be thinking about such.

And I'm still sick.

I have 155 words of dialogue in my Dare to Be Bad challenge fic. *beats back yet another plot bunny with a stick* NO. I am not going to write fanfiction wherein Jayne has lost track of Illyria. That would be a step backwards. Not gonna do it.
