Okay, so, the best show on TV is in danger of being cancelled. Seriously, you guys, if I had to pick one show to watch and abandon the other eleven (yes, I'm a TV whore, it's gotten bad), it would be Chuck. It's funny, it's poignant, it's got geekery galore, and Adam Baldwin is never a bad.

Tonight is the season finale.

And it might be the series finale.

Is there a campaign to keep the show on the air? you ask. What can I do?

Why, yes, yes, there is a campaign, and yes, yes, there is something you can do. Go to Subway today and buy one or more $5 footlongs. Leave a comment card in the box mentioning the "Finale and Footlong" campaign and thanking them for their sponsorship. My oldest and I were already planning on Subway tonight. We are both big Chuck fans. It's getting a lot of good press. Hopefully it will be enough for one more season.

This is one of those times I had a much bigger audience--on LJ, other blogs, Twitter, anything--than I do. I'm planning to participate in this (or nudge other family members who will be leaving the house since I have 7.5 hours to write a 2500-word paper, oh crap), but argh. I will be so sad if this goes off the air. It seriously is the best show on TV now, and I like a lot of shows. (Are you watching Castle, BTW? Very funny.)

Also, once this ep gets on the NBC website, make sure to stream it online, maybe more than once--it's pretty easy to just mute and play in the background, and apparently web numbers can make a difference.

I can't believe Heroes has been renewed when Chuck is on the bubble. Chuck is so much better.

That said, if last night was the series finale it will be moderately satisfying as one.
