The issue of Azure Valley that the Cow story is in is out and available for your perusal! I never got a head's-up for this, but there it is and you can read it now.

This story came about because I had the errant thought one day that actual magic beans were a pretty high price to pay for a perfectly ordinary dry cow. And that got me to thinking about what might be so special about ol' Milky White that someone would cough up such a high price for her. And this story came out of that.

I hope you enjoy it. :)

So I read it without reading your explanation first, cuz I figured the peeps who read AV don't have such an advantage. I'm glad I didn't; I had a lot of fun figuring out where you were going with this seemingly random though familiar sequence of events! - Or rather the characters and places were familiar, but most definitely not the sequence! If fairy tales had a canon... ;)

Excellent job! -Oh, and congrats on getting published!
