Duel of the Davids...

Cook: "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Meh. I really didn't like that. The arrangement was blah, and the way he sang it was very...alternative? The monotone minor notes just aren't my favorite. It was very him.
Archuletta: "Sun Going Down on Me." VERY nice. Poor kid looks exhausted, though.
"Beverly Hills Chihuahua." W.T.F. Okay, I'm a sucker for dog movies (we went to see "Underdog," for crying out loud), but I think I'm going to give this one a miss. Because, just... WTF.
Round One: Archuletta
Cook: "Dream Big." Don't know this song, but I liked it, quite a bit. Much better than the first one.
"Journey to the Center of the Earth." Okay, yes. I'm in. I'm SO in. I don't care if it takes your suspension of disbelief, rolls it up into a ball, and tosses it into a shredder, I'm going to see this movie. I just hope they get a duck in there somehow.
Archuletta: "In This Moment." I don't know this song either. What's with the anchors on his jacket? Song is just okay for me.
Round Two: Cook
Cook: "The World I Know." Don't know this song. Monotone is turning me off. Meh. Maybe if I liked this style of music I'd like it, but...meh.
"Hancock." OMG I can't wait to see this movie.
"Hell's Kitchen." Seriously, I'd have to be paid in the upper five figures to put up with crap like that.
Archuletta: "Imagine." I kind of hate this song a lot, but he did a really good job on it last time. I didn't like the arrangement tonight, though. Still better than Cook's song, though.
Round Three: Archuletta
Results tomorrow. We'll see.

Date: 2008-05-21 04:29 am (UTC)I was listening to The World I Know in the car yesterday and it's such a beautifully spirited song...I just wish he'd done it with less arrangement, dropped the guitar, and blown it out vocally. It would have made it unforgettable.
Like you said, we'll see what America says tomorrow.
Off to the gym soon...Have a good night :-)
