Whilst we were out grocery shopping (speaking of which, OUCH, grocery bill)...

That I just garnered my 50th rejection.

Of course, it had to happen sometime, right? And I've got two sales. So, the ratio isn't horrid, is it?

Someone, please reassure me that my ratio isn't horrid.

In other news, my sick, sick obsession, let me show you it. I bought a Hot Wheels Road Beast Antruder Monster Truck today.

Because it has an anteater on it. Get it? Anteater--Antruder?

The Hubby thinks I'm insane. He may be right.

Also, it's snowing. Again. *loathes* We were going to go to the drive-in tonight to see "Nim's Island" and "Horton Hears a Who," but with the weather being such a crudfest, I don't know if we will. Blah.

I don't know if it make you feel any better about you're ratio. But just think of it this way at least you feel comfortable enough to send your stories out into the world and face possible rejection. Now I don't write professionally just here on LJ but most of the time when I post fic no one reads it or at least no one comments anything on it. Now I get I don't have most of them beta-ed but even comments to tell me where I've made mistakes are helpful. At least you're getting some response from people who're reading your stories even if it's just your Hubby.

Hope you get to go see your movies tonight, have fun if you do.

Laters hun~

Well, the sun's back out. Ridiculous schizophrenic Utah weather...

Feedback is GOLD, and I love it when an editor takes the time to tell me what doesn't work for them in a story--or what does. However, considering how some authors act when they get feedback (scroll down to the HR), it's no wonder editors are gunshy about it.

O_o

People are craaaaazzzy. I might not like to get bad feedback just ask [livejournal.com profile] spikess but it's better than nothing.

Congrats! That means you are taking the writing seriously enough to keep submitting. Go you!

It's totally a good ratio and it will get better. I know people with tons more rejections. You're doing precisely what you should, just ask your mom.
