I'm actually more of a cat person....but after the K9 police demo at my work "summer" party (yeah....in the snow) last night I was very impressed and wanted to see if there were any lj comms about police dogs....there weren't....so I decided to make one. I've got oodles of pics from the demo I want to post....and am also going to put on disc for the K9 officers.
We've helped lots of the SLC police dogs....the last one I personally worked with was "Elvis" who, in the past chased a suspect over a freeway bridge...sustaining multiple fractures. He came in with a GDV (bloat) and needed surgery a few months ago--he's retired but there were still many officers who came to visit him during his recuperation from surgery!!!!!
