2250 words for NaNo, total. Yeah, missed the goal big-time today. I plead brain cramps brought on by too much politics. And finger cramps brought on by scrubbing my kitchen floor by hand. Looking at the projections of various news organizations, I think I can now go to bed confident that President Bush will be declared the winner sometime soon. Fox is projecting Ohio for him...but they haven't declared Nevada yet. Considering the fact that 100% of the returns have been counted and Bush won there, it boggles my mind that they haven't. Well, whatever. ABCnews has, and that's good enough for me. It's nearly 2:30am, the Hubby went to bed nearly an hour ago (piker!), and I think I can safely crash.

What made my night was Tom Daschle's defeat in South Dakota. I've had a strong dislike for that man for quite some time now, and it's pretty historic for an incumbent Senate Minority Leader to be unelected. *dances tiredly around the room*

Yes, I realize there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth in LJ-land today. Hey, I feel your pain; I felt it when Bill Clinton got elected. Twice.

John Kerry showed himself to be, ultimately, a class act, by looking at the numbers and conceding the election gracefully. Good on him. Makes me respect him more.

I won't be defriending anyone; if anyone wants to defriend me, I understand and will wave goodbye sadly. I like all of you, and would hate to lose anyone.

Okay, enough election stuff. I had a dream last night that's going to help me with my NaNo novel. I might even get enough written today to hit the rest of yesterday's and today's goals. So, yay! *starts madly scribbling*

I asked my (published) Mom if, since I do want to send my NaNo novel to a publisher, I should share it on LJ or at FictionPress. And she said that publishers nowadays want e-publishing rights as well, so self-publishing online is a no-no.

However, emailing it to friends is okay. So, if anyone wants to see this pathetic excuse for a novel after I finish it, let me know. LOL
