agilebrit: (D'Argo -- Anteaters)
I thought I remembered that I had a fic languishing on my hard drive. And I did, from clear back during the [livejournal.com profile] cya_ficathon. I was writing it as a backup, and I never published it because (a) I couldn't think of a title, (b) I failed rather spectacularly at the "no fluff" clause, and (c) someone else got to the request before I did.

But you know what? I kind of like the story anyway. I now have a title. And thus, I shall share it with you.

This is, of course, in lieu of doing anything actually useful with my time, as my Muses have apparently run off to South America without me and are probably shagging each other enjoying tropical drinks with little umbrellas on the veranda.

Title: Status Quo Ante
Author: babies stole my dingo (agilebrit)
Fandom: Angel
Rating: PG-13 (default)
Length: Short story (about 3500 words)
Disclaimer: Joss is the genius behind these characters; I am but a lowly follower. I make no money from any of this, so please don't sue me.
Feedback: Concrit adored! If you see something that can be improved upon, please let me know, even if it's only a typo.
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] cya_ficathon as a backup. Request delineated at the end.
Notes: Yeah, the "no fluff" thing got away from me there at the finish, but if you want me to write angst or darkfic with no character death, you need to cut me some slack in other areas, k?
ExpandSpike/Illyria, Wes/Lilah, post-NFA. Yes, another one. )

For the [livejournal.com profile] cya_ficathon. Less than a week late. Um. Yay? The lovely and effulgent [livejournal.com profile] jerib_78 has assured me it doesn't suck. I've read it aloud and it flows okay. So, here, without further ado, is Guiding Star.

But it came out a bit longer than that. I'm usually a stickler for hitting a hundred words exactly, but I just couldn't for this, and honestly? Not very upset about it. I'll do one that fits the length parameters too, but I liked how this came out.

Have I said lately how much I missed Lilah? No? Damb, I missed her. She should totally have been part of Season Five.

Heh. My first sort-of smutfic. The challenge was "Sleeping with the enemy." Try not to giggle too much, okay? And feedback for this one would be muchly appreciated, since it's new ground for me.

Title: Who Corrupted Whom?
Fandom: Angel
Rating: G
Words: 100
Disclaimer: Not mine, they're Whedon's. *sob*
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] challenge100's Challenge #3 Hidden Secret challenge
Notes: Takes place sometime after "Supersymmetry," I guess.

She could have justified her relationship with Wesley with the higher-ups by saying that she was trying to corrupt him, that he was just this close to going dark, that he'd be perfect for their team.

But she hadn't told, and now it wasn't about corrupting him anymore. But he wouldn't accept love from her, so she hid it under snark and sarcasm. He never knew that jealousy made her dress like that skinny little Texan nothing. Or that she left the glasses on because it pleased him.

"I love you, Wes," Lilah thought. But she never, ever said it.
