And, I think this is one of my most ambitious stories to date. It packs a lot into less than 4000 words, and I am very, very happy with it. Many thanks to my betas, without whom the story would not be nearly as good as I think it is.
I am super pleased with this one. It hits all the notes I wanted it to hit. It's the fourth story on my year, for 23,300 complete words so far. Not really quite where I wanted to be (last year I was at 42,500 complete words at this point, but last year I didn't get sick three times in the middle of my NaNo project--and that was four stories too, so hey), but not too shabby either.
...and now, on to the next.
