Arrant Nonsense

I decided to poke through Allu Arjun's IMDb page and see what he's been up to lately, and I found a couple of pretty spiffy stills from his latest movie, "Iddarammayilatho." And, you know, I couldn't let this image go by without immortalizing it somehow. Teaser:

And scribble 500 words, which will not write themselves. I should upload some new icons, too, since I have the space and some of the ones I've done recently for Ben are pretty cool.

I had a wonderful time seeing most of the Usual Suspects there. I found out about Salt City Steamfest, in July, which I will certainly be attending, if only to gawk at costumes and get ideas for something of my own. My brain is full, and I'm not sure that sleeping in was actually good for me this morning, since I'm feeling very tired and not quite here.

The lovely and effulgent bigsciencybrain put her finger on what was bugging me about Won His Soul, and I will be incorporating changes to try to fix those issues. It's very difficult to cram an idea like this into a fifteen- or even seventeen-thousand-word story, but I'm going to try and see if I can pull it off. She and the Hubby also disagreed about a particular scene and whether or not it needed more emotion, so maybe I'll take a middle ground and ramp it up slightly--or explain that he's so exhausted by all the other crap that's gone before that he really doesn't have the energy to react more than he did. Something.

Oh, and it needs a title. Awesome.

I ran into the handsome and hard-working Chris Cook, who had some intriguing ideas about putting up my already-published short stories on Amazon for the Kindle and B&N for the Nook. I'll be investigating that and seeing if I can build some kind of revenue stream from it.

I need to figure out what I'm writing next. I'm going to revisit both the tattoo story and the ghost ship story and see if either of them are salvageable, or maybe I'll hit up the Plot Bunny Hutch and see if something in there pings me. And there's the collaborative thing as well, which it's my turn to post on. I like to have something in Writing, and something in Editing. And I should also be working on the synopsis for the novelthing so I can start querying agents again. Gaaaaaaaah.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on my flist, and especially to my own. <3<3<3

In honor of the day, and it being Sunday and all, what mom does not appreciate eye candy? As some of you may or may not be aware, Ben, my werewolf dude, has picked up an honest-to-capital-G-God Guardian Angel, who is played in fine style by Allu Arjun, a south Indian actor who's starred in several movies in which he manages to get his shirt off, oh, lots. He is a pretty, pretty man. Also young enough to be my kid, but. Tiny, insignificant details.

The fact that he's an angel in the RP gives me an excuse to make wallpaper of him with a Bible verse embedded. See? It's wholesome even if he's covered in blood and half-naked! And, over the next several Sundays, I'll share them with you. Not all of them are shirtless, but I hope you enjoy. :)
