And I think I've figured out why they keep assigning him serial killers and other terrible people. Motivations are important here. This may be another one of those "Big Idea" stories. I know for a fact that it won't fit in 5,000 words. I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with it turning into a novel, but I'm okay with a novelette. If it stays under 17,000 words, I'll be happy.
