Gakked from
speakr2customrs. Take the first line from one of my fics and write a drabble using it as the first line.
Spike slouched insolently and bonelessly in the chair in Angel's office, his leg flung over the arm of the square red seat. -- From Blood Rite
"So, Jung divided the unconscious into the collective and the personal," Riley explained. -- From Soulless, Evil Things
The room smells of stale cigarettes and beer. -- From Cold Comfort
They parked the schoolbus in front of the Hyperion. -- From Remembrances and Plans
Two Odobenus demons glided down the San Antonio alley, stalking the Chosen girl. -- From A Mess of Pottage
"Hey, guys? We'll go this way." -- From Retained Skills
"You all right, pet?" Spike asked with some concern, putting his game controller down. -- From Chicken Soup for the Old One's Soul
Amy turned on her computer, smiling in anticipation. -- From The True Love of Legolas
Gunn couldn't believe it. -- From Indispensable, Exquisite Cats
I came back wrong. -- From Closer
"I dreamed of killing you," Spike said. -- From Spark
"Gimme the bottle," I tell the bartender. -- From Reflections
"Well, Dr. Finn," General Ritter said, "can you tell me any more about why all the vampires we were holding suddenly became human?" -- From Mustard Seed
I stopped my ancient black DeSoto on the outskirts of a dusty little town in Texas. -- From Salvation
Billy viciously cut the rope holding the young woman's wrists together. -- From Reward
The sun rose on a scene of carnage. -- From Aftermath
Go wild. :-)

The Day After - PG-13, Spoilers for Series Finale of Buffy
Date: 2004-10-08 10:13 am (UTC)Sunnydale had fallen, swallowed up by the pit of the Hellmouth.
Even though most had been evacuated, still a couple hundred people remained behind. Their last gasp attempt to make it to safety placed them at the near edge of Sunnydale, and there is was that the Surviving Scooby Gang Members saw them the day after the Sunnydale Disaster.
By that time, they weren't the only ones there. News crews, Seismologists, and others had flocked to the site of what was being billed as one of the Greatest Earthquakes of the Twentieth Century.
Buffy and the others watched the mayhem as officials tried to figure out what had happened and reclamation efforts of the bodies proceeded.
The day seemed to stretch on long. They watched horrified and fascinated somehow by the aftereffects of the Apocalypse they had averted and yet, before their eyes saw clearly that they had not averted it for everyone.
Finally somewhere around 2 PM, Xander turned away, and one by one, the others followed, until they were once more aboard the bus they had commandeered the day before. With a grim silence they pulled out of the area and onto a freeway.
"Where to?"
Xander's voice seemed to echo through the bus. At first no one answered, then Buffy spoke up.
"L.A., take us to L.A."
"You got it Buffster."
"What's in L.A., Buffy?"
Giles's voice was filled with gentle curiosity.
"A new beginning..."
