Dec. 12th, 2012 12:12 pmYep, when I grow up, I want to be Jim Butcher.
You might surmise by this that I just finished "Cold Days," and you would be correct.
I am under no illusions that I could pull of what he just pulled off, especially since short form seems to be my specialty and I just don't have the space to pile on my characters like that and then pull it all together in a climax of epic proportions.
But if I can pull off ten percent of it, in a short story, that will make me a very happy camper.
Also, happy 12/12/12 @ 12:12. Yes, I changed the time of this entry, even though the timing of when I'm actually writing it is close anyway. Because at least that's one bit of functionality they haven't taken from us. Not that I'm bitter or anything. Their last "new release" is full of such self-congratulatory horseshit I nearly wanted to puke. "Hey, look, shinies!" "Um... how is this any different than what we have already?" Hint: It's not, and actually requires more clicks, so it's actually less functional.
Sometimes I wonder if the people who code this crap actually use the site. At all.
