Seriously, everyone, this is a place that nobody should miss. Go there before you die. I'm not kidding. To be fair to you guys, I'm going to break this up into a few posts. First, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. Since we didn't see any bears or wolves actually in the park, you'll have to settle for zoo shots. We did get to see the wolves and bears engaging in Actual Behavior instead of just sleeping, so that was cool.










This wolf was splashing water on his stomach with his front paw:




They hid a bunch of food in the bear enclosure and then sent a couple of grizzlies out to find it. The ravens were also having a party.

I want to go to Yellowstone! It's on the list but I don't know when it will come up. Your pictures make me want to go now. :)

You totally should. This time of year is perfect because the kids just started school and the traffic's not nearly as bad as it would be in the summer. The elk have antler instead of velvet and the weather is perfect. Chilly at night but still nice in the daytime.

Yellowstone is one of my fave places to visit. I try and go once a year. One day, I'd love to have a cabin in the area [sighs]

It is a beauteous place for sure! And the wolves were very active when we were there; it was very cool.
