Over 2700 words into a story that's only supposed to be 5000 words long, and it's meandering along and I have no idea where I'm going to end up with it. Clearly, I have to have a point where the cases intersect, but it all strikes me as being just a little convenient.

Unless.

*wheels turn*

There's a notion. Interesting.

See, this is why I do these entries. I often start them (just like my stories) with no idea where they're going to end up--and then it shakes something loose.

We'll see how this shakes out. But I may have just solved my problem.

I title my entries at the beginning to try and stay focused...it rarely works and then I change the title.

I'm absolutely FROZEN writing wise right now. I cannot get words out. My WIP is stuck. I've got a beginning I like, but there's a "transition" chapter from the set up to the start of the action that I can't nail down.

The abrupt scene break is my very good friend, and I will hug it and squeeze it and call it "George." Can you just STOP and then pick up the action?

Half the time, other people come up with my titles; I'm terrible at them. :/
