OMG, y'all, how happy am I that Avatar didn't take home anything big? Not only that, but The Hurt Locker is (of the ones I've seen) a worthy winner. Of course, as a SF fan, I would rather have seen District 9 take it home, but I didn't think it actually would.

I didn't actually watch (because I have a visceral DO NOT WANT reaction to Alec Baldwin, and the Hubby was unwilling to ply me with booze and cash), but I've seen some pix of Robert rockin' the blue bowtie and the sneakers. And in about ten minutes I'm tuning in to Jimmy Kimmel to see the new IM2 trailer.

Also, we watched Inglourious Basterds tonight. I do believe that's the first ever Tarantino movie I've ever seen. Interesting stuff.

Tarantino is very, very good. I just happen to not like what he’s good at.

*eyes his filmography* Yeah, no wonder I've never seen any of his other films.

I'm glad a movie that was short on story/big on technique didn't sweep the awards.

I still haven't seen Hurt Locker and Blindside but I intend to. I join you in joy that Avatar didn't win.

Yup, and Robert and Susan were there. He was rockin' the sneakers and a bow-tie/sunglasses ensemble, and she was wearing a dress that so should not have worked but looked amazing. Check the comms for picspam. OMNOMNOM.

sarcasm fail. I knew they were on but couldn't be arsed to care.

D'oh!

Yeah, I didn't care much either and didn't actually watch. I'm just glad that Avatar lost like a big losing thing.

Did you watch Jimmy Kimmel afterwards though? OMG. *dies*

That was Tarantino's least violent film. I love his stuff, but it's not for everyone.

Apparantly around here I'm not in the minority for disliking Avatar. It sucked, really.

I can't believe I missed RDJ on Kimmel D: *hurries to youtube*

If they've yanked it, I saved it to my hard drive and I should be able to email it to you. Shoot me an email. :)
