I totally blew my deadline yesterday. For the first time since Dec 06, I don't have a Writers of the Future entry.

I am going to console myself, for the moment, with the vain hope that perhaps the Cow Story won and an entry for this quarter would be redundant. I'm sure this will come crashing down on my head the next time they update the blog, but for now I will hold that because I love the Cow story and think it deserves to win, by criminy.

*nods firmly*

However, this will give me time to actually whip the Ghost Ship story into good shape instead of something half-assed I threw together at the last minute, so... win? Because, honestly, I don't think that the Abducted!Werewolf (which was my backup) would have done anything. It's cute, but it's not OMGWOW material, you know?

It's ok. It's the first time in almost 3 years exactly. That's AWESOME. You'll just have a better and stronger story to submit!!! I believe in you!

I love your cow story. It rocked in both concept AND execution. It gets my vote (unfortuantely, my vote doesn't actually count)

So you'll have a stronger, well-thought out story to submit to them next time. That's a good thing. :)

Missed deadlines happen to the best of us. You probably wouldn't have a hard time finding writers who agree with that statement. ;)
