Lessee.
[livejournal.com profile] tv100's is "Mind Control." I got nothin'.
[livejournal.com profile] challenge100's is "Heat." Ditto. Although I might have something nibbling at the back of my brain for it. Whether or not I can actually get it to the front of my brain and written before the deadline is very open to question.
[livejournal.com profile] spillyria's is "School." Pretty bad when I can't come up with anything for Spike and Illyria, but I'm drawing a real blank there.
[livejournal.com profile] angel_100 is on hiatus right now. [livejournal.com profile] breebree16 asked me to mod for a month, since I'm the only one who seems to be posting, but I'm sorry, I just can't.
[livejournal.com profile] wordoftheday100...dang, haven't even thought about that one for awhile. Sorry, guys. I'd love to, I really would, but I've got a lot on my plate right now.
[livejournal.com profile] jerib_78 is owed a birthday fic. Dawn. Angst. Post-Chosen. Um, yeah. I'll get right on that. Turning it over in my brain, sweetie. Good things come to those who wait. I hope.
[livejournal.com profile] fresliriafic gave me my ficathon assignment last week. I've thought about it a bit. I need 2000+ words for it. I'd probably better start it soon, or I'll be in default for my first ever ficathon, and that would be bad. Argh.

The good news is that the YGtS fic is up to 8200 words. The bad news is that I'm not sure where I'm going to go from here. Vamp!Riley now has a very good reason to be pissed off at Buffy, but what he's going to do about it is open to question at this point. I did get the scene written today that I wanted to write last night (go, me!), so, progress. I still haven't divided the silly thing up into chapters, or even come up with a title yet.

The other good news is that I spent some quality time with Da Boy at the zoo today, and I got the grocery shopping done, so we have food again. Yay!

And yet more good news is that, now that I don't have to save my money for WriterCon anymore, I can splurge on things like Discworld books and Oaxacan elephants. The elephant isn't mine yet, but with any luck it will be. Another one by my favorite carver, and Harmony Kingdom has lots of elephant boxes, so they'll look cute on my shelf (yeah, I need more shelves) together.

ETA: The elephant is MINE. Squeee!

mind control - the first from the seventh season of Buffy did a number on SPIKE, wonder if there is any of that left in him

heat - anywhere spike goes heat grows

school - Spike has been teaching Illyria stuiff but maybe he has soemthing to learn from her as well

Dawn fic - what happens when she fuklly starts hitting hormones and her body which is essentially a host for the Key starts having surging hormones and energy interacting?

take your time...

*g* Got a LJ account. Am happy.

O.O We're all waiting for your fics! Write, or fear the wrath of the masses! So, hey, no pressure.

Really, I'm quite sure no one will clap you in chains for having writer's block/not enough time to write. I think quite a lot of people are going through a dry spell right now. Me, my friend, another guy who's writing a fic I've been reading, my other friend...the list goes on. >.< I'm sure you'll be up and writing soon enough. After all, you're brilliant. *worships*

Er...congrats on the elephant thing. *is slightly confused* Elephants...?

Hi there! [adds you to my Friends list] Welcome aboard! I'm not *totally* blocked; I've got an idea of what my next scene is going to be and this fic is actually going quite well. I'm just going to be concentrating on it for awhile instead of working the drabbles like I normally do.

Now, if I get completely blocked, I'll take a look at the drabble challenges and see if they can jump-start me. I just remember that when I was working on the "Pottage" monster, the drabbles became a distraction, and once I stopped doing them, I finished that fic within a couple of weeks. Of course, with that one, I knew exactly where I was going with it and what I needed to do; it was just a matter of getting down on the screen. This one? Total by-the-seat-of-the-pants writing. I had an idea where I was going when it started, but the characters kind of took over and started doing these things.... LOL

The operative word in the phrase "Oaxacan elephants" is actually "Oaxacan." I collect these gorgeous carvings from the Oaxacan valley in Mexico. They're hand-carved by the Zapotec Indians there, and then painted in these wild, vibrant, beautiful colors. I have over 40 of them at last count, ranging in value from $20 to $300. Not that this is of any interest to anyone who doesn't know what they are. But if you're really curious about them, some of them can be seen here on this site.

And if you have any questions or need help with LJ, feel free to IM me via Yahoo. :-) I'm not an expert by any means, but I sort of know my way around.
