Still stuck on this thing with OOC!Ben, although I may have a solution for it, sort of.

I still need to figure out why he just collapses after he loses his shit (in a manner of speaking--he's probably a lot more sane at that moment than he has been for the previous two weeks) and doesn't just suicide right there and then in order to avoid the table, and that's being more problematic. I can, I suppose, have him try, and fail. How close is the carotid artery to the surface...? I should ask the handsome and talented paulgenesse; he's a nurse and would probably know, and he's here at CONduit.

Oh, god, I love this Con, just for the record. The wonderful Hubby took both Da Boy and the Puppernutter to see Grandma in Colorado, and I have no responsibilities until Monday. On Monday, I shall clean the house. Poke me, flist, because that needs doing, badly, and it'll be a nice Thank You for the Hubby.

Been scarce (read: nonexistent) on LJ since Friday. I've been realizing this weekend just how much of a time sucker LJ is and I'm probably going to do a friends cut soon, because it's just too damb much. Probably won't cut anyone who's friended me, but the comms are out of control and need trimming, badly.

Anyway. This set of 250 isn't going to write itself. I'd like to get 7K on the week...

How about having Ben hang himself unsuccessfully? Men tend to shoot or hang themselves in suicide attempts, and they are generally successful.

I have solved the problem. Hanging himself wouldn't have worked in that situation because it would have required more planning than he had in that spur-of-the-moment instant where he decided that he no longer cared. But it's fixed, and I'm happy with it. :)

Icon isn't exactly apropos here. He got in a fight with three vampires, and won. Then the bouncers came with the stun batons and pole syringes...

Re: communities--I'm in a ton too, and I'd never even touch my flist if I had them all on there. Instead I just use--well, not even filters actually; you can be a member of a comm without actually adding it to your flist. It's under Friends > Add/Remove Friends--you can just uncheck the "Friends?" box for any comms you don't actually want on your flist, and voila: no more cluttered flist, but you retain full comm access, posting privileges, whatever. I was thrilled to discover that, because I hadn't joined many comms before then for that very reason.

Maybe I'll just do that, then. Because at this point, I'm not sure how many comms I really want to be a member of. They're all fun, but I'm not sure how useful they are.
