Bank, check
Comic book store, check. By the way, comic book store? IS KILLING ME DEAD. I am 45 years old. I should not be making a weekly visit to the frelling comic book store. And yet, here I am. Today's haul included the Ultimate Iron Man 2 trade, Farscape, Ender's Game 5, and I ordered the Sherlock Holmes and Muppet comics from the other store.
Library, check.
Groceries, check.

And, DUDE. I can has Ultimate Iron Man 2 trade by Orson Scott Card. And it is tasty, tasty crack and I need more like burning. NAOW, plz. Gawd, I love the Ultimate Universe. I got UIM1 from the library and I've been mainlining Young!Tony all day. Yesssssssssssss.

In other comics news, I really should dig through this pile of them I've got next to the couch and get them organized again. Out-of-control stack o' comics is out-of-control.

In writing news, I didn't work on the query letter, but I did get my requisite 250 words in, plus a little scratch that, a lot. I don't have what I started the day with next to me, but I think I cranked out another thousand words today when all was said and done. I thought I should explore how the moon affects Ben when he's got the wolfsbane around him and is incapable of Changing.

Badly, it turns out.

Duh.

Because this is me and I'm a horrible person. I may have mentioned this before.

Somewhere in there, I decided that Ben should have a name for his wolf. Because this is me and I'm weird. This, too, is something I may have mentioned before.

Why says you can't be reading comics at any age? I don't think their is any reason why you shouldn't be going to the comic book store, well other then the cost. I go twice a month myself.

I have been wondering how Marvel's online stuff works out. If it's a good flat rate it might be cheaper then buying the books directly (and takes up less space).

Oh, and gratz on getting the word count in for the day. I really do want to read your werewolf stories now.

The only Marvel stuff I buy is Iron Man--everything else is media tie-ins. This probably makes me a bad geek, but I don't particularly care. I'm so far behind on what I've got just right now that adding any more titles would be foolhardy. Not to mention the fact that the whole Civil War arc is complicated as hell and would probably just piss me off anyway. GAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

I'm still trying to figure out something we can wager, not ignoring you. :)

I need to figure out what's Next now that my Villainess With Ulterior Motives has removed the wolfsbane and gotten him off the table in the lab and into her apartment. Might need to sleep on that and maybe role-play it a little in my head. Poor Ben.

I did pick up the DVD collection of the Iron Man comic books (everything up to 2006 or so) before they pulled the licenes. I felt 35+ years of comic books for $50 was value for the money. Still worth it if you can find a copy.

Frankly, the only Marvel book I read is Spider-Man, even after Bland New Day.

Depending on how much of a villin your villiness is, should could simply allow him to have a good nights sleep before she moves onto the next thing. In would be something Ben wouldn't expect.

As for the wager, how about a DVD boxset of the winners choice (within reason)? It's not too expensive, and we each have shows we like. I would say that if we last all the way to December we should roll them into christmas gifts. :)

Poor guy, he can't sleep--it's broken up by vivid nightmares, and he's getting to the point where he's almost afraid to close his eyes, no matter how exhausted he is, and he's plenty exhausted right now. Why, yes, I'm fond of snapping him right in half, why do you ask? And the villainess is a conflicted mess, because she's actually discovered that she likes this one and he's become more than "food" to her. *evil laughter*

Good lord, I don't think I can do this until December. The words are rolling off the keyboard this week, but who knows how long I'll be able to sustain it? I don't even have Plot yet...

Do you have a particular project you're working on?

That would make it hard to sleep unless he was druged up, and I doubt he would appreciate that at all.

As for project, no I don't have anything going on, though I do have the werewolf book idea. Mostly I just try to write 5k every week just because.

Trev said there was going to be food and everything. Hubby's off all day, but I'd like to be home by five for NASCAR. What time do you want me to pick you up?

Erm. Better give it to me again. I think it's in the car, but I sure wouldn't swear to it. I can either screen the comment, or you can email it to me at agilebrit@yahoo.com.

I am 45 years old. I should not be making a weekly visit to the frelling comic book store.

Why not? I'm 53 and I make a monthly trip, because my guy pulls my issues for me and I don't have to go every week.

I know, I know, and I come by my geekery honestly, but sometimes this feels like a kid's game.

There's no such thing as an age limit on comics man. I'm 25 and I still play with toys! LOL

Ahh the Ultimate U, it is lovely. <3
