Yes. Yes, it is a good morning. Not least of which because I lost most of the weight I gained at the Con (already), and I think I'm finally caught up on the sleep I didn't get over the weekend as well.

The weight thing is...odd. I've finally figured out how my body works, so I can conquer this thing once and for all. DISCLAIMER: I would not recommend this to anyone else, but it works for me, and it goes against everything they tell you about "starvation mode" and all that other happy horse poo. But you know what? Everyone's different.

One meal a day. That's it. Snacks are permissible, but not a lot of them.

Note: At LTUE, I ate two meals on Thursday. And gained three pounds. I ate at Subway, and then went out for Thai food later. BOOM. This was bad.

Friday, we ate at the California Pizza Kitchen. Freakin' HUGE meal, but it was the only one of the day. And I maintained the exact same weight as the day before.

Saturday, back to the Thai place. Again, freakin' HUGE meal, the only one of the day. And I lost a pound. Thai food for the win, man. Because if I can eat that much and still lose weight, I want to eat like that all the time. I nearly had to move my seat back to get behind the wheel of my car, I ate that much.

Sunday, NASCAR and Wif Burritos. Dropped another half pound, I think, which, dude, that's another freakin' huge meal. However, eating at home is generally better for my weight than eating out.

Yesterday, salad. Gawd, I love my salads. Spinach, tomato, cucumber, carrot shreds, celery, black olives, a hard-boiled egg, ranch dressing, croutons, and bacon bits, mixed together in one of those three-pound buttter tubs (sans butter, of course). YUM. Dropped 4/10s and now I'm back at my goal weight, which is one pound more than my pre-con weight.

However, I'm at my Goal. Anything less than this is gravy. I still want to lose a few more (because then I'll be Hawt), but just being at the Goal is a Good Thing.

So, yes. I'm ridiculously happy over this. It only took me ten years to figure out. And I don't feel deprived, or hungry, or aything like that. This is my body and this is what I have to do to look the way I want to look and feel the way I want to feel about myself.

In other news, my brain didn't give me any pressing editing jobs on the not!kkbb/im novelthing. I'm going to read it one more time and toss it at a couple of people who haven't seen it yet. The word count has gone over 91,800. *blinks* Dude.

Congrats on the weight thing - that is awesome! I'm still working on figuring out my own issues on that subject. I'm psyched for you. :)

This has been an ongoing battle for me, for years, and it feels so good to finally have it figured out. It breaks all the "rules" they tell you to follow, but if those rules cause me to gain weight (or not lose it), screw 'em, y'know?

And who knows how long this will actually work, but I'm going to ride this pony for all it's worth, man.

I'm so happy for you. I used to only eat one meal a day, dinner, and never had a weight problem. I was told that was so unhealthy so I went to three meals a day, and now have a weight problem! I've tried all kinds of dieting, which I HATE, and still have problems. I never thought about going back to one meal a day! I just may do that and see what happens! =)

I find it works best if I eat around two or three o'clock in the afternoon. By then I'm generally hungry, but not starving, and then it holds me for the rest of the day. Part of the problem at the Con, I think, was that we weren't actually eating until nine at night, which probably isn't good for anyone, but when stuff isn't done until eight, what are you going to do?

Man, my metabolism has always been this way. Various influences throughout my life have tried to get me to eat multiple meals a day, but after one, I just feel like I'm stuffing myself. I say stick to it, if that's what works for you!

And then this morning I've gained a half-pound. How, I have no idea. I think I'm getting ready for a visit from Aunt Flo, maybe. FEH.
