I managed nearly a thousand words yesterday. Which was a fine and shiny thing.

Of course, today I decided that I should actually look and see what an exit wound would look like if a 9mm pistol was fired at fairly close range into someone's chest. Because I takes my research seriously, I does.

It shouldn't be this hard to find autopsy photos on the interwebs, y'all. *grumbles* Oh well. Apparently exit wounds vary a lot, depending on what the bullet hits on its way in and on its way out, so I can wing it. I didn't make it ridiculously huge or anything.

In other news, NBC's Olympic coverage basically fails. Hey, execs? I'd really like to know what I'm watching. A little graphic to the effect of "Gold medal round, women's indoor volleyball" would be really handy. It's nice to know when we're watching heats and qualifying as opposed to medal rounds, yanno?

Also, MOAR FAIL on the part of someone at fanficrants. The idea that Tony Stark can't be gay in a frakkin' AU is hilarious. I especially like this thread. Because I've seen rumblings about this and I'd like some of the crack that Marvel was smoking when they came up with that storyline, thanks.

What's funny is that it's not like the IM fandom isn't loaded with Tony/Pepper. Don't like slash, don't read--and if the very idea of Tony and Rhodey going at it like ferocious (and in-character!) bunnies squicks a person that much, then perhaps they should step away from the interwebs.

I'm not even going to point her at the Tony/Obie porn.

Maybe I should. It would make her head explode.

Yeah, the original post only had that first sentence.

She apparently tried to clarify her point to mean "not exclusively gay" in the edit...but it's an AU, so she still fails.

Also, I'm not sure I've ever seen a fic wherein Tony was exclusively gay--and I read a boatload of Iron Man fic--so I don't even know what she's talking about.

There are so many events in the Olympics that don't get hardly any coverage. Could I please see those instead of preliminaries or qualifying rounds? I really only need to see the medal events, thank you very much.

People are indeed strange. There's everything out there on the Internet and if you don't like it, don't read it. There's tons of stuff I skip because it doesn't interest me. Hell, I can't keep up with all the stuff that does! Why waste time with stuff that upsets you for some obscure reason?

You'd think that finding autopsy pix would be easy-peasy, but apparently not so much. Oh well, turns out I don't need an exit wound anyway.

Bad guys probably had exit wounds, because sniper rifle at close range, but I wasn't concerned with them because my characters weren't trying to stop those guys from bleeding to death. *evil laughter*

However, now the story has gone all boring on me. *cries* Maybe I should do something else for awhile.
