I've gone through the not!Iron Man story yet again.

It doesn't suck as much as I thought it did. In fact, I'm back to pretty much loving it again. So many lines in here are just so golden that I'm having a hard time believing that it was me who wrote them. I've tweaked it a little more this morning (using permutations of the word "fiddle," when not referring to playing the violin, three times in a story such as this? Not on), and I think I'm going to call it "Piles of Cash and Killer Benefits." Seeing as, in this story, that title has more than one meaning, and yay for double entendres, right?

So. I'm going to format it. I'm going to check Baen's guidelines one more time. And then I'm going to ship it off to them. They're closing to subs at the end of the month, and if it passes slush, that should give me time enough before the end of September to send it to WotF if Eric and Mike decide to pass on it.
