A little fanfic is good for anyone, I think--sort of a break from any stress of writing things you need to sell. It would let you just play, at least, and maybe taking a short break from OF would let you come back to your other stuff with some more ideas, or at least a little rejuvenated? Something.

Well, I'm writing it. I'm going to make it non-specific enough that it's not actually Tony and Pepper, because the billionaire industrialist and his PA are archtypes I can work with. We'll see if I even finish it. I have a couple of thousand words of set-up (not actually written yet).

Or you could write fanfic to your heart's content and then to the scrape-off-the-serial-numbers thing, which...I have never done but you have, so I probably shouldn't give advice in that area. But at least then you could post it somewhere and random people could read it too, or something (of course then you might have to clean it up a lot, but yeah).
