When a critic calls your TV show "cringe-inducing television"?

That's not a compliment.

That show is basically people selling their souls for money. Congratulations! You've won a bunch of cash . . . and alienated your loved ones. Go, you?

They'd have to pay ME money to watch it.

A LOT of money.

I've now seen five minutes of the show, which was about four minutes and fifty-five seconds more than I could stand. But now, I have a clear idea of how this show was conceived.

"Here's an idea for a show: we'll take some contestants with a cemetery's worth of skeletons in their closets, and then perform really exhaustive background checks on them. Then, we'll put 'em on stage, and ask them questions that will wreck their marriages, tear their families apart, and destroy their professional reputations! The more money they want, the more they have to submit to our questions, and the more we will ruin their pathetic little lives! Moowa ha ha ha ha!"

My first question was: what sleazebag gave this show the green light?

My second: how desperate do you have to be to go on this show?

My third: if you stole money from your job and allowed someone else to take the blame for it, or you sabotaged your competitors, how sorry should I really feel for you?

My fourth: if you're willing to risk exposing yourself as a scumbag for a chance at half a million, don't you deserve what you get?

My fifth: you don't seriously expect me to watch this shit again, do you?
