Not that I've got a whole lot to edit here, but damn it feels good to get something done. I've redone the scene where my protag comes home and finds her dog eaten by a praying mantis, so there's a whole lot more immediacy and emotion to it, rather than a dry retelling of the event.
I knew there was something wrong with that scene. Sometimes it just takes me until 2am to decompress long enough to figure out what I need to do. This is a vast improvement.
Now if I could just figure out what's next. And the science behind it. That'd be peachy.
