I'm contemplating dust bunnies...

as a plot element in my next story.

Just...shoot me. I have no idea how I'm going to make a story out of dust bunnies. However, like plot bunnies, they're evil. Evil, I say.

This goes back to the AKC writing contest...and it involves Beagles again. Why Beagles? Because Beagles are rabbit dogs and would be just the breed to go after dust bunnies. There may be a lazy cat who won't go after them while they're still dust mice. And they come out at night, leaving bits of themselves about to grow into dust bunnies in their turn.

But the dust bunnies need...something more. More sinister. Up the stakes. Yeah. *ponders*

Actually that...sounds rather interesting. And I dunno, dust bunnies that are big enough wouldn't just be an annoyance, they could probably smother people or something, if you wanted them to have evil intent of some kind.

It makes me think of gremlins - make the dust bunnies more destructive or give them a plot to try and take over the world, Pinky.
