We are home. We made the drive from Colorado to Utah in near-record time, and just barely beat a huge snowstorm in. *wipes brow*

This is the third big snowstorm of the year for us. Usually, we see three blizzards between December and February, if that. Three in one month? Send some of that thar global warming my way, mkay? At least we're getting a white Christmas?

A very Merry Christmas to those on my flist who celebrate it, and Happy Holidays to the rest of you. Also, I know I've been terribly remiss with birthdays and such, so let me send a shoutout to everyone I've missed. One of my New Year's Resolutions will be I will be better about acknowledging my friends' special days.

The BearFic has an "END" at the bottom of it (for the second time). The Hubby likes it better. I'm going to poke it a little more, and then ship it off to Writers of the Future. I haven't heard from any editors lately, other than one, which was a "sorry for the delay, we need to hold it for another month or so, feel free to withdraw it." Since the market pays a hefty chunk of change, and that chunk of change keeps going up as the US dollar falls against the Australian dollar, I think he can hang onto it. It's not like I was going to do any more subbing until after the new year anyway.

Higher temperatures in the southern hemisphere, where its summer in December, lead to more evaporation of water there and more severe storms and weather up north. That said, I'm glad you all made it home safely! *hugs*

It has been quite the storm, too! We haven't had a whole lot of snow today here in Provo, but it's been coming down with a lot of wind and swirling all over the place. Very impressive! And I certainly wouldn't want to be out in it! However, according to the weather reports I've been reading, they say we should expect up to eight inches of snow by tomorrow morning. I'm really glad we don't have to go anywhere tomorrow... and that we'll get to have a white Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!

You are seeing the rough end of global warming. We too are likely to get major worsening of winter weather as the general warming continues - there is a chance that the gulf stream will alter and we will get frozen sea and blizzards with high winds. Already our winters are windier :~(

Such a shame that the major countries like yours and the Chinese are still intent on playing chicken with each other, and hence all the rest of us - but never mind - we'll get whiter Christmases!!

I hope your power stays on for you and you have a lovely day - with all presents being just what you wanted, and your son has a wonderful time.
