So we watched the series premiere of "Pushing Daisies" tonight.

And there is nothing not to love about this show.

So now we have Chuck, Heroes, and Journeyman on Mondays...
Bones and House on Tuesdays
Pushing Daisies and CSI:NY on Wednesdays
Moonlight and Numb3rs on Fridays

Moonlight...will probably go by the wayside. Bad writing, bad acting. The opening scene of Pushing Daisies was everything that Moonlight should have been. Yo, Moonlight writers? THAT'S how you do it. Show, don't tell. Or, you know...do both. That's effective too. That being said, I'll give the show a couple more eps to find its feet. Lots of pilots suck, so benefit of the doubt unless it's a pattern.

I"ll have to give "Pushing Daisies" a try.

"Moonlight" didn't really impress me, although I liked the Hearst College hat-tip to "Veronica Mars."

I was really underwhelmed by Moonlight, but you know...vampires. *sigh* I'll give it two more eps, but it better wow me in that period of time, because I'm watching enough TV as it is and if it's not excellent, it won't make the cut.

Since we seem to enjoy a lot of the same shows, I'm recording Pushing Daisies on Friday night when it airs again. I saw an ad for it and it reminded me of that Jeff Goldblum show that went by the wayside last year, "Raines." But it looks different, like it's magical instead of all in his head.

Oh, I miss Raines! I'd love to see them make more episodes of that. I think Pushing Daisies might be "Tru Calling--Lite," but having never seen an ep of Tru Calling, I'm not really in a position to say.

Library has it; I should get it sometime.

I loved Pushing Daisies. The narration and the filming really gave it a wonderful fairytale atmosphere. I hope they can sustain this charming quirkiness.

It reminded me of a Tim Burton movie, only lighter...along the lines of "Big Fish." And it doesn't hurt at all that the star of the show played Jaye's brother Aaron in "Wonderfalls."

Thank you! I wondered why that actor looked so familiar.

Reminded me of Edward Scissorhands.
