That being said...

On what planet is this acceptable?

*adjusts wank hat* I find this ad (the whole series of ads, honestly) just creepy and offensive on every level. The behavior these women is exhibiting verges on the scary-stalkerish, and if I was Kasey, I'd be filing restraining orders. And this gives me one more reason (as if I needed one) to not use Allstate ever. This would not be "funny" if a bunch of middle-aged men were ogling Maria Sharapova, the tennis player/model. The double standard, she burns.

And then there's this:

Just how whipped is Jeff by his new wife? As the Hubby said (which nearly made me snort Diet Cherries and Cream Dr Pepper up my nose OW), "Brooke wouldn't have done him that way." And it's not like I didn't already hate cell phones; this just adds a whole 'nother level of WTF and annoyance. They're going to interrupt filming something that costs multiple thousands of dollars so he can go out and get frelling diapers? I don't think so.

Whatever happened to the era of good NASCAR commercials? Stop woobie-fying my men, dammit.

I agree.

(I might get flamed for this) LOL! No ,Brooke wouldn't had. Then again, I didn't see Brooke everytime I turned around like I have this one! lol

I'm waiting for a group of three women start chasing Kasey around...for real.

I'm constantly amazed at commercials that are insulting. Don't they realize I will NEVER give them my business if they treat me as if I'm stupid or I find their commercials offensive?

Apparently enough people find them funny that they decide to continue on these themes. At least in recent incarnations of the Kasey Kahne ad above, they've cut out the part where she tells him to move his hips. Maybe they got letters. Of course, all I'm doing is bitching in my LJ and not writing to them directly, so that may be part of the problem.

Not that I'd ever use Allstate ever again after the way they did us. Long story short, I had some accidents, they put us on indemnity instead of dropping us completely (which was good)...but then wouldn't take us OFF indemnity after the points expired unless we insured our house with them too. Heh. We told them to zark off and insured our cars with State Farm (who had the house insurance) instead. I mean, really.

Got nothing to say but I couldn't agree with you more.

Kasey should be running those women off the road and setting them on fire. I mean, he's a NASCAR driver, he knows how to make people wreck. If it was a woman in this series of ads, we wouldn't see her running away, we'd see her loading a shotgun. And it would be played for laughs! But heaven forbid that a man stand up to these harpies and tell them to GTFO. That would be misogynistic! *barf*
