Oh, those little black spots in some of the pix? Not a fault in the picture. Those are BRINE FLIES, dudes. Billions upon billions of brine flies. They don't bite, but, damn, it's creepy and disturbing to walk through them, nevertheless.
In other news, because yesterday would have been an even more rousing success had we been able to see the birds WAY out in the pond, we bought a Spotting Scope today. We're going jeeping tomorrow, and taking it with us. SHINY.
