My WIP's in a nutshell:

"A Mess of Pottage"--takes place in what [livejournal.com profile] jerib_78 calls the Mustardverse. Christian!Spike finds out that the new Slayer is hanging her hat at the abandoned Branch Davidian compound near Waco, TX (because in the Mustardverse, Willow didn't do that "all Potentials are now Slayers" spell and everyone died but Spike, so still just one Slayer at a time). He wanders over to make sure she's all right, and of course she's not. Wackiness, as they say, ensues. I'm doing this in response to a Hubby challenge, I have 17 pages, and it's like pulling teeth. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however, and I'm most of the way there right now.

Untitled Thingamabob--The effects of the Box of Flashy that Spike got in "Destiny" were only temporary, so he's a ghost again. AU from "Destiny" forward. Spike/Fred, and Wes/Lilah. Yes, I'm bringing her back. I miss her. At this point I have no idea where this one is going and it's sputtered to a stop after eight pages.

Untitled Kitten Poker fic--This is the original one...but with Angel in Fred's place. However, it was getting too slashy for me, so I reworked it into Kitten Poker with a Physicist. I may go back to the one with Angel in it some day if I get bored, but don't hold your breath.

Untitled Alley fic--in response to some community or other's "someone's bleeding in an alley" challenge. Has just the bare bones of a beginning, and it's a darkfic that takes place right after Buffy beats Spike up in "Dead Things." It was going to be a drabble, but I decided to make it a bit longer than that because there's a story I want to tell that will take a lot more than a hundred words. Clem seems to be a nice enough guy for a demon...but he is a demon, after all. Chances are he has a dark side that nobody's seen. How far would he go to help Spike?

It seems to me that I have something else in my "Stuff that didn't quite work" folder, but the battery on that computer only has 25% power left, and I don't want to turn it on just for that.

And, okay, I realize I didn't do it in the same format as [livejournal.com profile] alliterator and [livejournal.com profile] gehayi did...but I'm not that creative. Sue me.

For some reason, I've found that it's easier for me to write a story with a set theme and no plot (think "Mustard Seed"--for that, all I had for the initial idea was "Spike starts questioning his faith because of some bad stuff that happens), than with a plot kind of sussed out in my head, but no theme. The big, over-reaching ideas seem to create their own plots.

*blush* Thank you! The lovely [livejournal.com profile] manticorec has everything but "Mustard Seed" archived here if you want to get to all of it in one place. I haven't uploaded all my drabbles to FFN, but ManticoreC has them.
