I feel better now.

So, I sat down and wrote for the last five-or-so hours, with minimal distractions, and managed to bang out over a thousand words. Which doesn't really seem like all that much, but considering the fact that I'm happy if I do 250 words in a day...yeah, it's shiny, and I'll take it.
I just need to figure out how I'm going to end this thing. I'll sleep on it, I guess. *ponders how you'd crucify an octopus-sort-of creature*
Word count: 2633
Looks like I'm going to finish well within the maximum word count. Go, me.

Date: 2007-05-21 03:39 pm (UTC)If I might stick my oar in, concentrate on the meaning of the execution rather than the style. Crucifixion was ignomious, very public, lingering and very common. In the modern world, we tend to directly associate crucifixion with Christ and the hope he brings and forget we're wearing the equivalent of the electric chair. As my pastor told me recently, the cross is offensive, it's meant to be.
