I've only got 485 words in my new story, not 500. However, I like the words I have so far, although living with the particular brain I have in my head? Can be squicky at times. *eyes ReaverFic* This...is going to be worse than that. Oh, yes.

In other news, we went to Walmart (yes, we shop at Walmart, get over it) for groceries today. Perusing the $4.88 DVD bin, what did we come across? GALAXY QUEST. DUDE. I have been hunting this for ages. Of course I pounced on it, although it might leave me short for an eBay anteater auction I want to bid on next week. This matters not; I shall steal from the Hubby if need be. Shh, don't tell him.

I have fic due tomorrow. Is it going to be done? Heh. NO. My writing priorities have shifted. I don't know if I'm going to drop out completely (which would make me feel bad), but it's back-burnered for a bit. *feels mildly guilty, but at least this wasn't an exchange-y ficathon*

You chose well. I picked up Caddyshack and Escape from New York from the same source. Both are movies I've wanted on DVD for a while.

Wal Mart is a basic resource. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Yeah, we have "Galaxy Quest" on VHS, but it's fullscreen, and I can't play it on my computer, and it doesn't have deleted scenes or a Thermian language track. The Hubby was all "Why do we need this? We already have it." And I sputtered for a second and then said "SHINY!!!" He wasn't convinced, so I had to fund it myself. Hey, five bucks.

I'm not ashamed of shopping at Walmart; that was more a pre-emptive strike than anything else. There are folks out there who think I should be ashamed.

Oh! Be sure to watch the special deleted scenes! Too good. You're a braver woman than me. I don't usually fight the hordes at Walmart. Well, I do for church, because then it's not my money I'm spending and I'm going for the best deal I can get to make the money stretch.

Luckily for us, the Hubby works odd hours, and our Walmart isn't crowded at one in the afternoon on a weekday. We didn't even have to wait in line.

Most times I would end up in Walmart it would be Saturday or Sunday afternoon. You can imagine how scary it is then.

0200 hrs, okay. That's when I go. I've done 1400 hrs instead - on a Saturday. Two words: Ear Plugs.
