Continues apace.

New words yesterday: 716
Total word count so far: 7013

I realize that there is a discrepancy between "new words" and the "actual word count" from day to day. This is because I go back and edit and add some stuff and tighten other stuff up in classic edit-as-you-go style. The words I count as "new words" are the words in new paragraphs that begin after I ended the previous day. So, there's that explanation.

I think the thing may actually be galloping to a conclusion. Finally. *eyes word count* Dude, is anyone going to want something this long? Argh.

And in political news:

We women say "Pullll outttt nowwwww." --Some silly, strident female war protester.

Speak for yourself, bitch. DO NOT presume to speak for this woman. Yeah, that icon? Directed at you, whoever you are (I haven't caught her name yet). ETA: Her name is Medea Benjamin, of the organization Code Pink. *vows to never wear pink again*

It really frosts me when "women's groups" claim to represent all of us. The NOW Cows are about as far from me politically as you can get, and yet the press looks to them whenever they want to get "women's opinions" about some issue or other. I'll just be over here, vomiting quietly in the corner while they demand to be allowed to kill a baby whose body is out of her mother, but whose head isn't.

Heh. That was unpleasant. Sorry.

Yeah, I hate it when people assume everyone in a certain group is going to agree on issues. Not all women are against the war. Not all women think abortion is okay. I understand your frustration!

In other political news, have you heard Hillary's joke about her experience with "evil men"? If not, here's a link: http://www.nypost.com/seven/01292007/news/nationalnews/hills_evil_joke_on_hubby_bubba_nationalnews_ian_bishop______post_correspondent.htm

When I first heard it, I was thinking she was talking about President Bush, but some people think it's about her husband... who knows!

Damn right! I agree 100% with you.

Unfortunately, people find it easiest to deal with people when they can conveniently label them and put them in boxes. People assume all kinds of wacky things about me sometimes because I'm Christian. Same goes for being Conservative. Sometimes I have to practically identify myself as non-female to get people to believe I seriously hold the views I do being a woman.
