And I have. Two whole paragraphs.

However, I mentioned the movie "Ghost Rider" to the Hubby last night. He hasn't heard of it, so I grabbed the trailer from Apple's site so he can see it when he gets home from his current trip this afternoon.

Now, I'll freely admit that, while Nicolas Cage's movies are very hit and miss with me, the man himself is sex on legs, and I therefore perk up whenever I see he's got a new one out. And movies based on comic books have also been very hit and miss. Based on that, I figure this one has about a fifty-fifty chance of being any sort of good.

That being said, the trailer makes it look FREAKIN' AWESOME. Now, I'm not familiar with the source material (just like I wasn't with "Constantine," which I enjoyed), so I don't know how much canon rape is occurring here, but...DUDE. It's all, with the...and the bike...with the chain...and the flames... asdegfghljh.

And the drumwork might have something to do with how awesome the trailer is, as well.

Anyway. That's my long-winded way of saying that, rather than writing this morning, which is what I should be doing, I've been doing some primitive screencapping, and I made an icon. Which I now present to you.

And now, I will write.

Hey. I'm wondering, have you been getting any alerts whatsoever from FFN lately? I haven't gotten any since the 25th. I checked your account and saw you got a review on Assimilation on the 31st. Did you get an email for that at all? I'm trying to figure out if this is happening to anyone else. :P

I hadn't heard of that, but looking at the trailer, SO COOL LOOKING.

From what they say at [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants, everyone's been having trouble with alerts from FFN. I haven't noticed, myself, but it's been ages since I've posted anything and I don't obsessively check my stats like I used to. I don't remember getting the latest one for "Assimilation," and I think I would because...Dude. Creepy. He identifies with Reavers? *shudder*

Looks like your Patriots are going to win today. :)

Ghost Rider is being made by Marvel, so hopes are high that it at least will be true to the source material.

Mr. Cage is a major comics fan, so that's a hopeful sign too.

*crosses fingers* The new Spiderman movie looks really good too. I've totally enjoyed what they've done with that so far, and it looks like they're continuing to explore the "journey of the man who has greatness thrust upon him" theme.

Wow. I've never heard of Ghost Rider, but it looks pretty cool. as does Spiderman 3, as you mentioned just above.

There's just something about good people, like superheros, that have a curse (or Venom) plague them and they have that challenge to overcome. I like that kind of theme.

It's always a fascinating one to explore, and seeing how they rise (or fall) to the occasion is usually an entertaining ride. We won't speak of that "Hulk" travesty.

I never read Ghost Rider but the concept sounds intriguing. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I'll definitely see it.
