And hey, you're from Utah, which seems to give people a leg up in that contest (okay, not really, but there have been a fairly high percentage of finalists from that state). Plus, it's been ages since someone I know has won, so it's due! (Seriously, for awhile there I had at *least* one friend or acquaintance winning at some level every year.)

Good luck! I'm debating on entering the next round myself. I've posted some of my potential stories in my creative writing LJ if you're interested. ;) I've done this before though and it seems like a very good venue.
