...in the airplane. We'd planned on just an hour flight, but it stretched to an hour and a half. We went from Airport Number Two, down to Provo, over to Tooele, and back. The Hubby had planned on landing at the Tooele airport, but some people were parachuting into it, so we just headed home instead.

We had a lovely flight alongside the Wasatch Mountains, with a great view of Utah Lake, and the BYU campus. We saw some of the Copper Mine, and sailboats on the Great Salt Lake, and the new Larry H. Miller Motorsports complex. It's funny how the landscape really doesn't look real from that altitude.

Da Boy had a good time, apparently. We're talking about heading to Boise this week. The zoo has baby Bat-Eared Foxes. *flails*

And then we picked up S2 of "Lost" at Walmart for $11 less than usual (yay for getting it the week it goes on sale!). We're going to marathon it and hopefully finish watching before S3 starts Oct 4. One disk down...

Oh! Nice plane! It looks a lot like the one my step-dad used to have...

And having the plane sure will make those jaunts to Boise and other assorted Zoo-having places a whole lot more convenient!

Ohhh, very cool. Flying's one of those things I'm always fascinated by, maybe just because of the perspective shift. I'm much the same way with boats and, more recently (because of the snorkeling trip in Hawaii) going underwater.

Must... take... boating and scuba lessons... : )

Still. Very shiny. *grin*

*FLAIL* He is so cute. I'm jealous of him. Anytime someone disses him? "Yeah, well, my parents have an airplane." That would definitely be my comeback for everything, if I were him. I'm glad you guys finally got the plane! Lucky, I hope you have tons of fun it. ^_^

I like how a) you were smart enough to equip him with flightline / firing range hearing protection [and it's weird-looking, too, because my favorite pair are exactly like those - how'd you get hold of them?! Give them back!]

and b) he has to wear them sideways because he's smaller than they are.

I used to be that size.

But since when is Utah so air-polluted?!

Cute plane - extremely cute offspring! Isn't he gorgeous with his look of concentration and his ear-protectors?

Does it come with a shower?

Think the runway here at Port A is 3500' long. Might need that much once your hubby gets the shower, toilet and water tanks installed. Nice looking aircraft guyz. Hey...that's a fine looking Grandson there!
