Oh, Ben.

Had a productive meeting with my Writing Buddy last night, in which he suggested a conversation between Ben and Chambliss (Alex's butler--"the go-to guy when you want to hide a body," who has an arsenal in Alex's basement. He's mysterious and a little scary). And Ben's opening up to him a bit because, really, Chambliss is the only person he can really talk to about this stuff. He doesn't want Janni to know half of what he went through, and he doesn't want to burden anyone else with it either, not really. But with Chambliss being a retired military guy himself, he gets it.

And I've been debating with myself about posting something at difrancis's Snippet Sunday, when I'm going to be posting something tomorrow anyway. Should I post two snippets?

I'm sorry, but Ben does not need to be having the same conversation with multiple people.

"Woe, I cheated on my wife with a vampire. I am a horrible person and should be shot."

"Dude, you were raped in vampire prison. Totally not your fault."

"Totally was. She lurrrrrrrrved me. And I sorta kinda liked her back." *thinks* I can never ever admit ever to actually loving her, because that would pile even more repercussions on my head. Augh. But I did. *more guilt*

"Vampire prison. Power differential. Did you see yourself when you woke up on the yacht?"

"Not her fault, she saved my life, lots of times. Besides, she's a vampire felon. I, on the other hand, should know better. She didn't force me. What was it when I was initiating things, huh, huh, huh???"

"Stockholm. You haz it."

"Well, duh. Doesn't make it right."

This is fine if he's having this conversation with one person. Maybe even two, because different aspects of the same experience can be talked about to different people. But having it more than once with Janni, and then again with Alex and Chambliss?

BAD WRITER. NO COOKIE. I mean, hell, are you going to bring Megan in for the quadfecta? She's Pack too, she should have a say, right?
