*yawns, stretches*
Jun. 10th, 2009 11:14 amGood mornin', flist.
In the last two days, I have scribbled over 2500 words in the Cow and the Beanstalk story, and over 1700 words in the new!Ben&Janni thing. Wordcount on Cow is over the 4300 mark, and I cracked 56K on the novel.
I've figured out where to go Next on the novel (finally), so rather than scribbling filler scenes (although the one yesterday where Ange acquired a weight bench for Ben and then took him outside for the first time in EVER was lovely to write--I had to figure out if she was going to ruin the mood by attempting to seduce him again and decided to let them have the moment for once. See, I can shove Antubis aside on occasion and be nice), I can move the Actual Plot forward again.
And the Cow story is trucking along. However *glares at Flaubert* this thing that was supposed to be your basic Fractured Fairy Tale has developed legs and now I think I'm going to be lucky if it tops out at under 10K.
Why do I do these things to myself??? I'm a glutton, I tell you, a glutton for punishment. Oh well, as long as I finish it by the end of the month, I'm good. The way it's moving, this shouldn't be a problem.
For those of you new to my flist *waves* Antubis and Flaubert are the anteaterpomorphic personifications of my Muses. Antubis is the anteater in the basement in Kingdom Hospital (which I haven't actually seen, go figure), and Flaubert is Miss Piggy's pet anteater in Muppet Treasure Island, who ruins her entrance. Antubis gives me dark and gritty, and Flaubert is in charge of silly. Sometimes they work together to give me stuff that's completely bizarre.
