*facepalm*
Jun. 21st, 2008 09:29 pmOkay, far be it from me to give political advice to the opposition, but...
Does anyone at Obama's campaign headquarters look at this stuff?
Vero possumus!
The first thing I thought (my Latin is admittedly shaky) when I saw that was "The possum of truth? What?"
Okay, I get that, roughly translated, it means "Yes we can," but surely I'm not the only one picturing an opossum lying on its back, playing dead.
Much like Obama's foreign policy. Maybe if we don't look threatening, they'll leave us alone! *rimshot*
Perhaps he should have just gone all out and made his slogan "Quando omni flunkus moritati," and followed it up with "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess."
