And while I'm wearing my pimp hat...

I need to rec this story: "Metamorphoses in Amber," by the handsome and talented wistling. In fact, I can't believe I haven't pimped this before. In this story, some people have discovered how to harness the power of amber to become basically immortal...but there's a cost involved, and a twist. It also deals with gender identity and what makes us us.

You know, I read all these good stories and it makes me realize how far I have to go before I'm even on the same planet with these guys...

That being said, I've been bouncing around links on the internet and might just possibly have an idea for a new story. Involving giant bugs. Whee.

I have Giant Bugs. I have Science. I have Scientifically-Induced Giant Bugs. Now I just need a Plot to wrap around them, Characters to drive the plot, and an overall Theme, and I might have an actual Story.

That would be shiny.
