Writing continues apace...

...on the CatFeet fic. Scribbled another thousand-plus words tonight. *evil laughter* Oh, yes, this is coming together quite well. I'm thinking more in the realm of 7000 words rather than the 5000 I was originally shooting for, at a thousand per body plus another thousand to wrap it up. Might run to more than that, though.

Word count so far: 4119

I'd really like to finish this before the end of the month.

I don't know how much of a tightrope I'm walking here between giving enough clues to the audience and giving away the whole premise way too early. I don't really want this to be a "surprise ending" (SF editors apparently hate those, and it's not really what I'm after here), but if the readers figure it out way before the character does, then they're going to think he's really damned dense.

Argh.

In other news, American Idol continues to bore the crap out of me, although Jordin endeared herself to me tonight by singing a Tom Jones song. Can Sanjaya go home now? Pleeeeease?
